01Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy explains how Apertelle processes personal information when you use our iOS app and related services. It covers AI image and video creation, your anonymous workspace, purchases, service measurement, and support.
Apertelle is operated by Vu Khac Nhiem (“we,” “us,” or “our”), who is responsible for the processing described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact tongthihangnga6893@icloud.com.
Anonymous access means that you do not need to register with a name or email address. It does not mean that the service processes no personal information. This policy is a notice, not blanket consent to every use of your information.
02Information we process
- Photos, prompts, and creations
- Photos you select, template selections, text prompts you provide or edit, and generated images or videos. These may contain faces or other personal information. We also process task status, timestamps, result locations, and history needed to deliver and recover creations.
- Anonymous account and session data
- A service-issued user identifier, authentication credentials, and an app-specific random identifier stored in the iOS Keychain. These associate your workspace, history, credits, and purchases with the correct account.
- Purchases and entitlements
- Apple product and transaction information, purchase-verification results, subscription status, credit balances, credit activity, and check-in records. Apple processes payment details; Apertelle does not ask for your payment card number or security code.
- Device and network data
- Device model, operating system, app version, language, region settings, IP address, identifier for vendor (IDFV), app-specific identifiers, and tracking permission status. Region settings are not a GPS location measurement. We read and send the advertising identifier (IDFA) only when Apple tracking permission is granted and a valid identifier is available.
- Usage and attribution data
- App-instance identifiers, screen views, button actions, feature and purchase-flow events, relevant product identifiers, and campaign-attribution results. See Section 5 for analytics and tracking choices.
- Support information
- Feedback, messages, app version, and an email address if you choose to provide one. The feedback email field is optional; without contact details, we may be unable to reply.
We receive information from you, your use of the app, Apple purchase verification, and the service providers used to operate these features. Online services also receive network connection information when you contact them.
03Why we use information
- Provide anonymous access, authenticate requests, and keep accounts and entitlements separate.
- Display localized templates and process, deliver, recover, and display AI creations.
- Verify purchases and maintain subscriptions, credits, and purchase restoration.
- Carry out your requests to save, share, or delete content or an account.
- Respond to support requests, diagnose problems, and protect the service against abuse.
- Measure app usage, reliability, and campaign attribution as described in this policy.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Where a legal basis is required, we rely on providing the service you request for account, generation, and purchase processing; legitimate interests in service security, reliability, and responding to support where permitted and balanced against your rights; legal obligations where applicable; and consent for processing that requires consent. Where consent is required for analytics or advertising measurement, that processing is subject to your consent. You may withdraw consent as described in Section 8.
04AI processing and photos of people
AI creation uses cloud processing. When you confirm a creation, the selected photo and applicable template or edited prompt are sent through Apertelle’s service to ByteDance AI services for image and video generation. The service returns the generated result and task information to your workspace.
The app explains this transfer in its creation confirmation flow. You may cancel before uploading. Opening the photo picker does not upload your entire library. Closing a screen after uploading does not delete information already received by the service.
If your selected photo contains a face, that face is part of the image processed to create the requested result. Apertelle’s app does not use facial recognition to authenticate your identity. Submit only content you are entitled to use, and obtain the necessary permission before submitting another person’s photo.
Your uploaded photos and generated results are not used to train AI models. They are processed to provide your requested creation, return results, and support the associated service operations. This does not mean that processing occurs only on your device or that every copy is deleted immediately after generation. See Section 7 for retention and deletion.
05Permissions, analytics, and attribution
Photos
You choose inputs through the iOS photo picker. Saving a result to Photos occurs when you request it and may require iOS permission. You can manage Photos access in iOS Settings. Declining permission to save does not prevent you from viewing a completed creation.
Tracking permission
You can accept or decline Apple’s App Tracking Transparency request and change the choice in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining does not block normal app use. IDFA is read and transmitted only with permission.
Server-side campaign measurement
After the tracking status is known and an anonymous session exists, the app sends device, account, and network information described in Section 2 to Apertelle’s server for attribution measurement. It may obtain a public IP address through ip.aivukhacnhiem.site. This lookup does not send your account access or refresh credentials.
Declining tracking stops IDFA collection by the client; it does not stop all network, device-identifier, or server-attribution requests. The app stores server-confirmed attribution for measurement. The client does not use that result to select content, features, or prices. The app includes neither the Adjust SDK nor the Meta SDK; server-side measurement remains part of the service.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Apertelle uses Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage. Analytics begins after the tracking status is resolved and may run even if tracking is declined. It processes usage events and app-instance, application, and device information. ATT is not an analytics opt-out switch.
Our custom analytics event parameters do not include selected photos, prompts, media URLs, feedback email addresses, authentication credentials, or raw purchase credentials. We do not set the Apertelle business user identifier as a Firebase user ID. Learn more in Privacy and Security in Firebase.
07Retention, deletion, and purchase migration
Retention depends on the type of information and its purpose. Relevant criteria include providing the feature you request, maintaining your history and entitlements, resolving incomplete tasks or disputes, addressing deletion requests, and meeting applicable legal obligations.
- Creation inputs, results, and history: processed for generation, recovery, and access to your creations. Local recovery files can remain while work is unfinished. Uploaded content is not automatically erased merely because generation finishes or the app closes.
- Account and session records: maintained to provide your workspace and secure access until account deletion or session removal, subject to records required for the purposes above.
- Purchases and credit records: used for verification, entitlement management, restoration, and resolving transaction issues. Apple maintains its own purchase records.
- Analytics, attribution, security, and support records: retained according to measurement, security, and request-resolution needs and the applicable service settings and legal obligations.
Delete a creation
Use the deletion control in your creation history. After service confirmation, the app removes the corresponding history record and related local recovery inputs. Deleting a history record does not by itself establish immediate erasure of every provider copy or backup. Contact us for a request covering additional personal information.
Delete your account
Open Profile → Delete account and confirm. The service verifies the request and deletes your anonymous account and its uploaded files, with associated records handled through the service’s deletion rules. The app clears its saved session after the service confirms success. If deletion fails, retry or contact tongthihangnga6893@icloud.com.
Provider copies, logs, backups, and records subject to legal retention may follow separate deletion processes; account deletion does not promise instantaneous erasure from every system. For a privacy deletion request or details about retained information, contact us at the address above. We will handle the request under applicable law and explain any applicable retention exception.
Restore a subscription on another device
When you explicitly restore an eligible active Apple subscription, the service verifies the transaction and applies its migration rules to transfer the subscription and remaining credits to the current anonymous account. This is a migration, not a shared account or shared wallet. Sign-in credentials and creation history are not automatically transferred. The app securely retains the transaction association needed to recognize the migrated purchase.
Deleting the app or your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage renewal in Apple subscription settings. Uninstalling does not delete cloud records, and Keychain identifiers may persist. Copies saved to Photos or shared with others must be managed separately.
08Your choices and privacy rights
- Choose which photos and prompts to provide, and cancel a creation before uploading.
- Manage Photos and tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete creations or your account using the in-app controls described above.
- Choose whether to include your email address with feedback.
- Contact us to request information about processing, object to processing, withdraw consent, or exercise applicable privacy rights.
Depending on your location, rights may include access, correction, deletion, a portable copy of information, restriction of processing, objection, withdrawal of consent, and a complaint to your local data protection authority. Where applicable, you may also request an opt-out of processing legally classified as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising, or appeal a decision on a privacy request.
Send requests to tongthihangnga6893@icloud.com. Include enough information to identify your workspace or issue, but do not send passwords, session tokens, or full payment details. We may request proportionate verification to prevent unauthorized disclosure or deletion. An anonymous workspace has no required email address, so we may be unable to locate or disclose records if ownership cannot be verified.
We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation or refusal and available remedies. Withdrawing consent does not undo lawful processing that occurred before withdrawal or automatically erase existing records. A processing restriction may prevent a feature that needs the relevant information from working.
09Information security
Apertelle uses HTTPS for service communication, the iOS Keychain for session credentials and its app-specific identifier, and platform file protection for persisted recovery information. Authenticated requests help keep account records separate.
No system can guarantee absolute security. Protect access to your device and do not share session credentials. Contact us if you believe your information or workspace has been accessed without authorization.
10Children and young users
Children who cannot legally consent to the relevant processing in their location should use the service only where a parent or guardian can lawfully authorize that use and any required consent has been provided. An App Store content age rating does not replace local privacy-consent requirements.
Do not upload a child’s photo or personal information without the necessary authority. If you believe a child has provided personal information without required authorization, contact tongthihangnga6893@icloud.com so we can investigate and address deletion or other required measures.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features, service providers, processing practices, or legal requirements change. The effective date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate notice, and additional consent will be requested where required.
